This course offers an in-depth introduction to the U.S. healthcare system, focusing on its complex policy and regulatory environment. Content will cover the unique challenges and responsibilities of both public sector and non-profit healthcare providers. Students will explore the foundational elements of health administration, including laws, policies, and procedures that govern healthcare organizations and services. Through a combination of lectures, case studies, and discussions, students will also develop ethical reasoning skills and engage with key ethical debates in the healthcare industry.

This class will meet synchronously for 4 hours per week. Students should expect additional homework during the week.
